Buenos Aires, November 28 (NA) – A man was transferred to the Clemente Álvarez Hospital in Rosario after being shot in the leg and was detained upon being identified as the person sought for the homicide of Emanuel Espeche, which occurred in January.
According to information from Noticias Argentinas, police arrived at the scene of the shooting, which had left a young man injured. Neighbors reportedly said he was wanted for a crime. Upon arriving at the Clemente Álvarez Hospital, he was identified as the man sought in connection with Espeche's murder.
A little over a month ago, the Rosario Regional Prosecutor's Office asked for the public's help to identify the man wanted for Espeche's murder, disseminating an image of the accused whose name they had been unable to find. "We request the cooperation of the public to find people who can provide information to identify and/or locate the person shown in the photograph," the Prosecutor's Office statement read.
The man is accused of Espeche's murder, which occurred on the night of January 13, 2025, on Cerrito Street, between Liniers and Teniente Agneta, in the city of Rosario.
According to the investigation, the subject appeared in a public place, fired a shot from a firearm at the victim, and caused the young man's death.
As months passed and his identity could not be established, the authorities stated that the individual had been captured by security cameras in the area and therefore requested collaboration: "Contributions of data on said male are important to be able to advance the investigation".
